the main question is trying to work out who you are - and the way you find the answer is to look at where you've come from and to think of where you'd like to go. only you know the secrets of your heart.

T-minus 10 days

Well well well, it appears as though the Philadelphia Consulate has finally surrendered and decided that they would issue me a visa.  The visa process has been anything but easy.  In fact, I am confident that the notary office and FedEx employees now know me by name, as I have been a familiar face to them these past few months, failing time and time again to submit the correct, if you will, information to obtain my ticket to Milan.  All's well that ends well though, right?  The process is over and I am so relieved to have my visa and passport in my possession, although I must say I was a little let down to find that all of the paperwork and hassle associated with getting my visa was all for a sticker on the back page of my passport.  Gotta love it.

So, I leave in 10 days... pretty unbelievable.  I've spent a year getting ready for this and more than that thinking about all of the possibilities that could lay ahead of me as far as studying abroad went.  I'm anxious and excited to finally experience it for myself and have the time of my life.  I know I'll miss everyone so much but this feels right.  I'm not looking forward to packing, that will be a nightmare no doubt... but that is for next week.  I hope you enjoy reading my blog about my adventures in Italy :)  As always, I end with a quote.

'people are afraid of change,
but if you look at it as something you can always count on,
then it can be a comfort'
